LESCO is a major power distribution network in Pakistan that provides electricity to more than 6.2 million people in five districts of Punjab including Lahore, Okara, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib.
LESCO is hiring for a chief executive officer that requires energetic young professionals who can lead and expand the company very well.
The chief executive must report to the board of directors of LESCO and the Ministry of Energy the commitments and goals set by the Ministry of Energy and the board of directors on how to expand and develop the company. He should work with the vision to achieve these objectives.

Responsibilities
- Industry expertise and deep understanding of the power distribution industry of Pakistan including knowledge of best international practices market dynamics technological advancements and emerging operational challenges
- Strategic Vision and Strong Ability to Articulate a Clear and Compelling vision for the Company’s Future by Outlining Strategic Plans and Initiatives to achieve objectives and Performance Targets entrusted by 800 and regulators.
- Leadership and Management Skills to demonstrate Strong Leadership Qualities and the Ability to Effectively Manage the Companies Operation, Resources, and Human Capital. This Include Making informed fostering positive Corporate Culture and achieving Organizational objectives
- Business Acumen Having a solid grasp of business management, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, cost control, and capital allocation. Should be able to drive financial performance, operational excellence, speedy and efficient procurements, manage risks, and ensure the company’s financial stability.
- Stakeholder Management by Possessing Excellent Communication and Relationship Building Skills to effectively engage with Stakeholders Including Government Authorities Regulators Customers Employees and Community Members
- Regulatory compliance ensures that the company operates in compliance with applicable laws, Nepra regulation, and industry standards and effectively leads LESCO’s initiative w.r.t CTBCM. Be well aware of regulatory changes and maintain a strong ethical Framework by promoting corporate governance and transparency
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Master’s degree in business administration/public administration/management/economics/finance
- Member of a recognized body of professional accountants.
- The incumbent should have a proven track record with a minimum of 20 years of experience with 10 years of working in the power sector and at least 3 years in a senior management position i.e. Working in a public sector or public sector company in BPS 20 or equivalent whether on substantive basis or additional charge or current charge or look after basis or upgraded shall qualify as senior management.
Preference will be given to candidates having
- Experience working in public sector Organizations in the power sector of Pakistan
- Knowledge of power sector planning and contractual Framework
- Having the capability and experience to improve back and front-office business processes through automation
- Experience and a good understanding of legal policy and regulatory framework of the power sector of Pakistan
- The candidate must comply with fit and proper criteria and other conditions as prescribed in the public sector companies’ Rules 2013 and public sector companies’ Guidance 2015.
Remuneration, Age, and Contract Period
- Salary and allowance will be market-based
- The maximum age limit will be up to 60 years on the closing date of the advertisement
- The initial contract shall be for 3 years with an annual performance evaluation to be conducted by the board of directors of LESCO against given key performance indicators and performers’ agreement with MOE.
