Eligibility Criteria
- To be considered for the Direct Short Service Commission as a captain, you must meet the following requirements.
- Both men and women can apply.
- Both married and single marital status is accepted.
- Azad Kashmiri citizens and residents of Pakistan Gilgit-Baltistan are eligible to apply
- Minimum height of 5.4 Inches and weight based on BMI
- A minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4 or 60% in the applicable topic-specific branch credentials will be required.
- Throughout his/her academic career, Candidate should have never received a third division or a grade of D.
- Degree from HEC-Recognized University/Board
- Private applicants are ineligible.

Selection Procedure:
To Join the Pakistan Army as a Captain, you must complete the following steps:
- The first step is to register you. Candidates must register online at joinpakarmy.gov.pk.
- Second, go to your local Army Selection and Recruitment Center (AS&RC) and register.
- Candidates who wish to register at AS&RCs must have the following papers with them:

- Original documents must be submitted, together with two sets of authenticated photocopies of academic certificates/degrees/diplomas.
- Serving candidates must have a letter of authorization from the relevant department.
- Photocopy of the domicile, attested.
- Photocopies of computerized National Identity Cards (NICs).
- 6 x color photographs that have been duly authenticated (front and back).
- HEC/PEC must properly verify the candidates’ degrees.
