At present medical facilities in Pakistan are not very good and they are not up to international standards which needs a lot of work to bring them up to international standards. Currently, there is a shortage of doctors in all the major hospitals of Punjab, which puts a heavy burden on the already working doctors.
The Provincial Government is working on a permanent basis to solve this problem quickly and for a long-term solution.
At present, there are a large number of unemployed qualified doctors in Punjab, about the Provincial Health Minister has taken permission from the Election Commission of Pakistan to start a doctors recruitment drive in Punjab.

Along with starting the doctors recruitment drive, the number of beds has also been increased in all hospitals of Punjab to accommodate more patients at a time.
Doctors Recruitment Drive
Provincial Minister Primary and Secondary Health, Punjab, Dr. Jamal Nasir, has stated that on the orders of Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, all large and small hospitals are being inspected to address problems and improve treatment facilities for people, whereas District Headquarter Hospital is one of the best hospitals in Punjab because the district administration and health department are providing better healthcare facilities to the people.
He shared these thoughts with journalists after visiting the DHQ hospital in Hafizabad on Monday. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner UmerFarooqWarriach, Medical Superintendent DHQ hospital Dr. Shakil Ahmad Shahid, DHO Dr. Faiq Ali Tarar, and AMS Dr. Jahanzib Ali were also present.
After gaining authorization from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the minister stated that 1045 physicians would be recruited in the province’s hospitals.
He stated that the province’s hospitals’ laboratory, X-ray, CT scan, and MRI departments had been enhanced and that the number of beds in local hospitals had been expanded throughout the province.
