This year, millions of people are willing to vote in upcoming elections among 266 representatives. The Election Commission of Pakistan will announce the final Election duty list in Pakistan 2024.
Over 5121 independent candidates belonging to political parties are now taking part in Elections. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has the authority to issue the Duty list of Elections of polling officers. The list of polling officers and workers that are assigned for election duty will be displayed today 5th February 2024.
The instructions about the duty of officers in various fields including Presiding officers, Assistant presiders, and polling officers will also be shared by ECP.
The previous month, teachers and other government officers were instructed to act as assistant presiding and polling officers.

Duty of ECP polling officers:
According to the rules, the National ID cards of voters and other information including photos of the voter and further details on the voters list will be verified by Electoral Officers.
Moreover, polling officers will announce the names of voters and their serial numbers.
The cuticle of the thumbs of voters will be examined by the PO to check whether they already voted or not.
Then the voter’s name will be removed from the list before they are taken to the PO assistant.
