The National Highway Motorway Police (NHMP) has begun issuing a CE category driving license for the overall population, empowering drivers to work on trailers. Drivers holding CE category licenses will be allowed to drive long vehicles.
It will provide Pakistanis with new employment options in a variety of nations, including Canada, where there is a considerable need for drivers with CE category licenses.

Shahid Ashraf Tarar, the caretaker federal minister for communications and information technology, inaugurated the debut of the CE category license at a ceremony and claimed it will increase young employment chances.
The Federal Secretary for Communication Khuram Agha, IG, NHMP, Sultan Ali Khowaja, additionally Inspector General of Police, DISG, and other seniors attended the ceremony. A federal minister congratulates the NHMP and IG for reaching the important milestone.

According to IG Motorway Police Sultan Ali Khawaja, 3,000 to 5,000 CE category driving permits would be issued by the department by the end of the following year. He promised that the exam process would be transparent.
Requirements for Truck Driver License for Canada:
- Candidates must have an LTV driving license that is acceptable for at least a year.
- The Motorway Police will also administer a written and practical exam to the prospective applicants.
