The bank timings for the holy month of Ramadan were announced by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday.
The State Bank of Pakistan will keep the following office hours throughout Ramadan, as per a circular released by the central bank’s Banking Policy & Regulations Department.
All banks, DFIs, and MFBs would similarly maintain these hours:
- The timing of office hours on days from Monday to Thursday will be 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Prayer break will be given to employees from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
- The timing of office hours on Friday will be 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. There will be no break given on Friday.

The following business (banking) hours will be observed by banks and MFBs for public dealing:
- The timing of office hours on days from Monday to Thursday will be 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. There will be no break given.
- The timing of office hours on Friday will be 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. There will be no break given on Friday.
The central bank further stated that the above timings will automatically revert to pre-Ramadan times following the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.
