As Ramadan is anticipated to start on 12th March 2024, it is needed to change the schedule of work. For this purpose, the Government of Sharjah has already announced the medication timings and working hours during the holy month of Ramadan.
The major aim of these changes in working hours is to adjust and accommodate religious observance and cultural practices. During the whole month of Ramadan, the government employees will work from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.
The time will be applied to both fasting and non-fasting people which encourages everyone to do spiritual activities and other cultural traditions that are related to this month. It also helps people to balance both their professional duties and religious obligations.
