The Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Turbat (UoT) arranged a session on “Entrepreneurship as A Career Choice and Entrepreneurial Opportunities” in the UoT video conference room. Participants in the event included students from several university departments.
In his introductory remarks, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Vice Chancellor (VC) of the University of Technology (UoT), expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Shakoor Ahmed, the resource person for the session and provincial chief of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) in Balochistan, for organizing a significant session for the UoT students.
He underlined how important it is to help young people develop entrepreneurial skills in this world of rapid change, especially in the technology sector.
He encouraged the students by saying that choosing entrepreneurship as a career path can help young people create their future and support the nation’s economic progress rather than settling for employment in the public or private sectors.
He continued, “There are many opportunities for youth to start their own business in various sectors, such as technology, industry, the arts, and communication.” “To nurture a skilled workforce, the university has started a free online ‘DigiSkill’ Training Program at the university’s Law Department,” he stated.
