British Council Announces Great Scholarships UK for Pakistani Students

As part of the GREAT Scholarships 2024, Study UK is pleased to announce 15 Great Scholarships UK for Pakistani students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies in the UK.

Each scholarship is good for a minimum of £10,000 toward postgraduate tuition for a year-long taught program.

The UK Government, in collaboration with the British Council and other UK higher education institutions, funds excellent scholarships through the GREAT Britain Campaign.

List of UK Universities offering GREAT Scholarships

The following universities are offering postgraduate scholarships for the 2024–2025 academic years:

• Edinburgh Napier University
• Goldsmiths, University of London
• Nottingham Trent University 
• Robert Gordon University 
• University of Bristol
• University of Derby
• University of Oxford
• University of Wolver Hampton
• University of York

GREAT Scholarships for law and justice

The following universities are offering three postgraduate scholarships for the 2024–2025 academic years. Kindly click the following university page for additional details and application instructions:

• Bournemouth University
• University of East Anglia
• University College London

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be a Pakistani national.
• Candidate should have an undergraduate degree to enroll in a UK university’s postgraduate program.
• Candidate must be capable enough to pursue a postgraduate program in the UK.
• Candidate must be working in the field, having prior professional experience, or demonstrating a passion for the subject.
• Must fulfill the UK University’s English language requirement.
• We expect that scholars will participate in extracurricular activities and attend lectures and tutorials.

Application Procedure

• On the “Find a scholarship” tab, select the universities that Pakistan has listed then click on the university’s page to view comprehensive details about the available scholarships.
• Apply for specific scholarships by following the guidelines provided on the websites for each university’s scholarships.
• Each school has a different deadline for GREAT Scholarship applications. Please visit the institution’s website for information on the deadlines for each specific university.
• The colleges that select the successful scholars will notify them of the outcomes of their applications.
• Successful scholars will receive scholarship funding from their respective universities upon registration.
