HEC Announces HAT Test 2023 Registration Schedule/ Apply Online at etc.hec.gov.pk.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) registration schedule.

HAT is administered by the Education Testing Council (ETC) for the award of all HEC scholarships and admission to MS/M Phil programs in a consistent, accessible, and transparent manner.

The deadline for HAT registration is January 28, 2024. Any changes to the exam date will be informed via the websites www.hec.gov.pk and http://etc.hec.gov.pk.

Applicants who have previously applied for MS/MPhil admission or HEC scholarships and intend to apply for HEC-sponsored scholarships or admission to MS/MPhil programs at any HEC-recognized university may register.

How to Register for the HEC Aptitude Test (HAT)

  • Please visit the following website to register: http://etc.hec.gov.pk.
  • If you have any questions when registering online, please visit onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk or contact HEC regional offices for assistance.
  • Application Submission consists of two steps: profile completion via the “My Profile” section and application submission using the “Higher Education Aptitude Test” buttons on the menu panel on the web portal’s left-hand sidebar.
  • Only SUBMITTED applications will be considered for testing; applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will be ignored.
  • The HAT examination fee is PKR 2000/- per applicant. Candidates will deposit the fee amount using participating banks/ATMs/Internet banking/Mobil App/EasyPessa/JazCash/UPaisa via 1Link 1bill invoice.
  • Once you’ve chosen the 1Link 1bill service, open/sign in to your mobile app and pick up bill payment or payment services.
  • Enter the customer number provided by the ETC Portal and click on 1bill invoice payment services. Pay the money once you’ve seen the facts.
  • On the ETC dashboard, click the Verify Online Payment button.
  • The exam cost is neither refundable nor transferable.
