With the general elections approaching in Pakistan the holidays are announced throughout the country.
In the latest development of events the election holidays in Islamabad are announced by the Federal Ministry of Education.
According to the statement, four-day long holidays in Islamabad for schools from February 6th to February 9th will be observed. All private and public schools in Islamabad will reopen on Saturday, February 10.
On Thursday, the Federal Ministry issued a notification on election holidays in Islamabad schools.

Most schools in Islamabad are closed on Saturday, thus they will resume operations on Monday, February 12th.
How many election holidays will there be in Pakistan?
Punjab and Sindh have already stated that educational institutions in their respective provinces would close from February 6th to February 9th.
Pakistan has announced February 5 as a public holiday to commemorate Kashmir Day. As a result, most educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, will be closed for one week, from February 5th to February 11th.
