The “Post Graduate Research Center of Creative Arts” at Punjab University College of Art and Design (PUCAD) was officially opened by Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bilal served as the center’s first director following Punjab University’s reorganization. CAD Principal Dr. Sumaira Jawad, Director of the Research Center Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bilal, Chairman of Graphic Design Prof. IsrarChishti, Chairperson of the Fine Arts Department Prof. Samina, Chairman of Graphic Arts AtifAmeer, Chairman of Sculpture Habib Alam, Drs. Naila, Aqsa, Sara, Farjood Rizvi, Humira, and the in-charge textile Dr. Asna were present at a special ceremony in this regard.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Khalid Mahmood commended the center’s research efforts and expressed his satisfaction with the innovative research initiatives being carried out here to meet societal needs. According to Dr. Bilal, enhancing fundamental facilities is the only way to improve research.
According to him, the primary goal of research in the fields of art and design is to create inventions that will improve the world, and in order to do this, we are making efforts to give our students chances and a comfortable environment.
According to him, the center’s goals are to support research that advances society and expands employment prospects for our graduates.
According to him, the center is now open for regular classes following building renovations and the provision of basic amenities for research students. He stated that the center provides MPhil and PhD programs in the domains of design and the arts.
