HEC Islamabad has announced the Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs in Universities, Colleges, and Research Organizations for one year. This is an excellent chance for recent Ph.D. graduates to begin their careers.
The curriculum includes a one-year employment experience in reputable organizations, as well as HEC training and mentorship for better career chances. The monthly salary will be PKR: 150,000/-.
Applications are invited for the IPFP Phase-II (Batch•lV) interim placement of fresh Ph.D. programs in all fields of study/disciplines.

The IPFP program was launched by the Higher Education Commission Pakistan to provide opportunities for new Ph.D. students to gain academic experience and mentorship for one year in Higher Education institutions (HEls), Federal/provincial government postgraduate colleges, or public sector R&D organizations before their formal entry into the academic job market.
The HEC Interim Placement of Fresh Ph.D. program application deadline is January 26, 2024. Online applications can be filed using the HEC e-portal.
Who Can Apply for Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs in Universities
- Nationality Pakistani/AJK
- At the time of application, you should not be older than 40 years old.
- D. from an HEC-recognized Pakistani (or international) university earned during the two years before the advertising
- The candidate must have at least two research publications in HEC-recognized or indexed journals.
- Candidates must be out of work. Those with irregular or contractual employment (or other sub-optimal occupations) in universities or elsewhere may apply; but, if chosen, they must quit and provide a clearance certificate from their prior employer.
- Benefits of HEC Interim Placement of Fresh Ph.D. Program National Faculty Development Program (NFDP): Eligible candidates will have the exceptional chance to attend a one-month NFDP for free with a team of highly regarded foreign and national trainers.
- Continuing professional development: Eligible candidates who finish the NFDP will also have possibilities for continuing capacity-building through different online activities approved by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) during the fellowship duration.
- One-year placement at Host Institution: HEC will assist the IPFP Fellow in obtaining a one-year placement as an IPFP fellow at HEls by exchanging the credentials of successful candidates.
- Mentorship: IPFP Fellows will be taught at host universities by a faculty mentor.
How to Apply
- Interested applicants must apply for IPFP Phase-II (Batch-IV) on or before January 26, 2024, via the HEC e-portal, https://eportal.hec.gov.pk/ipfp.
- Along with the application, scanned copies of HEC-attested Ph.D. degrees and/or an equivalence certificate issued by the HEC Equivalence Cell must be uploaded to the e-portal.
- A 3000/• online deposit slip/ATM Transfer Slip (nonrefundable), paid as application processing charge Account Number 1742 79001334-01 Habib Bank Limited, in favor of the Director General Finance, HEC, must also be submitted.
- Applicants must submit a printed application form together with the needed documents/photocopies and the original fee deposit slip.
