It is illegal to drive a vehicle, motorbike, or some other sort of vehicle in Pakistan, including the country’s capital, Islamabad, without a legitimate driver’s license.

Assuming the license is being reestablished something like three years after its termination, the candidate should give specific documentation; on the off chance that the application is being made after that time, the candidate should give both the theory and driving tests.
How Can a Driver’s License Be Renewed in Islamabad?
The applicant has two options: walk in or make an online appointment with the traffic police. The walk-in procedure is as follows:
- Once the receptionist has seen your original CNIC card, proceed to the Islamabad Traffic Police office to receive a token.
- Continue with the biometric authentication and take a picture.
- Await your turn, proceed to the counter, and complete the paperwork that the official gives you.
- Fill out the form and send it to them with the necessary documents attached.
- Remit the license renewal cost.
- Obtain the confirmation slip with the license’s expiration date.

- Two passport-sized photos
- Two Copies of your CNIC.

Islamabad Driving License Renewal Fee
The expense to renew a license within a year of its expiration, including the NADRA confirmation fee, is Rs. 1149 as of December 22, 2023. The expense to renew a license following one to three years after its expiry date is Rs. 1,949. The candidate should go through driving and hypothesis tests and pay a cost of Rs 4,649 past the three-year expiry date.
