On Thursday the federal government declared Islamabad schools winter vacations 2023 for schools and institutions.
In late December, the Director General of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) formally announced winter breaks for schools and higher educational institutions in the federal capital.
According to a statement published by the Federal Directorate of Education, all educational institutions will be closed from December 25 to December 31.

Furthermore, officials issued the school schedules for all schools in the city’s urban and rural districts as a cold wave grabbed portions of the country, including the capital.
The FDE also stated that the new school schedules will be in force until January 31, 2024.
Classes will begin at 8:30 a.m. and terminate at 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday in schools that operate in single shifts. The lessons will end at 12:30 pm on Friday.
For schools that operate in two shifts, the morning shift will run from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, and sessions will stop at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.
Monday through Thursday, lessons will begin at 1:00 pm and end at 6:00 pm, while Friday sessions will begin at 2:30 pm following Jumma prayer.
