An important meeting on Sunday, presided over by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, the caretaker chief minister, determined to create financial strategies to make all public sector universities financially self-sufficient.

The search committee for the selection of vice-chancellors was also settled upon at the conference.
The provincial minister would get the committee’s report in a week.
To address the issues that the universities are facing, the CM placed a strong emphasis on enhancing their governance and administrative operations.
The chief minister requested that high standards for postsecondary education be promoted in response to market need, noting that research work quality should also be prioritized.
According to him, the goals of higher education institutions should be reflected in the secondary and upper secondary education systems. The CM requested to consult with the stakeholders for this reason.
