Exams for Government Schools:
The annual exams for students in government schools in grades one through eight will start on March 7 and end on March 20.
On March 31, the results of these tests will be made public, opening the door for the start of new sessions in the first week of April.
Examinations for Matriculation and Intermediate Boards:
Matriculation board exams are scheduled to start on March 1. Intermediate board exams (FA, FSC) will start on May 5.
Government School Phased Admissions: There will be two stages to the admissions process.
The second phase, which is slated to run from August 15 to October 31, will come after the first phase, which runs from March 1 to May 31.
Summer holidays are planned between the months of 2nd June to August.
Admission Goals and Current Enrollment:
1 crore 19 lakh children in more than 48,000 schools are included in the new admissions target, which is an ambitious 10% of the enrollment statistics already in place.
In 2024, the goal is narrowed down to 12–13 lakh new students for the academic year.
Punjab’s Educational Situation:
One significant figure indicates that 1 crore 30 lakh youngsters in Punjab do not go to school at the moment.
Free Textbook Distribution:
Students in government schools will receive free textbooks from the Education Department starting on April 15.
