On October 13, 2023, the Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority of Lahore released the full timetable for the new school. All relevant authorities have been given the new schedule, which will go into force from 16 October 2023 through 14 April 2024.

The schedule applies to all governmental and private organizations operating in the Lahore district. Additionally, the prayer break or recess period takes 35 minutes longer during school working hours. The new school hours must be implemented starting on the dates specified, starting on Monday, October 16th, 2023.
Here are the school timings for single-shift and double-shift schools for boys and girls which will be followed during the winter season:
- For Boys’ Single Shift Schools, the schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM on Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, the school’s timing will be from 8:30 AM to 12:15 PM.
- In the case of Girls’ Single Shift Schools, the school hours will be from 8:15 AM to 2:15 PM from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, school will end at 12:00 noon, and start at 8:15 AM.
- For all Double Shift schools, the 1st Shift will operate from 7:45 AM to 12:15 PM on Monday to Thursday and Saturday. The 2nd Shift will run from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. On Fridays, the 1st Shift will be from 7:45 AM to 12:15 PM, and the 2nd Shift will be from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Prayer Break or Recess Timing of Different Category Schools:
There will be a prayer break/recess time both for students and teaching staff for about 35 minutes. Here is the timetable of prayer break or recess times for different categories of schools:
- In Boys’ Single Shift School, the prayer break or recess time will be from 12:45 AM to 1:20 PM.
- In Girls’ Single Shift School, the prayer break or recess time will be from 12:30 PM to 1:05 PM.
- For Double Shift Girls and Boys Schools, the new school timetable does not specify a prayer break or recess time.
