SED Announces Punjab Schools Winter Vacations 2023

As the weather turns chilly, provincial administrations throughout Pakistan are planning to declare winter breaks for schools.

Holidays in winter are a period of happiness and relaxation for students and their parents.

They give a break from the feverish daily practice of school and schoolwork, and proposition a potential chance to partake in the chilly climate and merry season.

Some local media sources suggested early winter vacations in Pakistan owing to pollution, however, the stories proved incorrect because no authority verified the event.

Despite worrisome air pollution, government and private schools across Punjab were closed for a three-day weekend last week. However, educational activity resumed on Monday.

According to trustworthy sources, the government has decided not to prolong customary winter holidays, thus schools and other educational institutions would be closed from late December to early January.

Schools in Punjab and other provinces were closed from December 24th to January 9th, and winter holidays are expected to be held in the same manner as in past years.

In the following days, the School Education Department (SED) will formally issue the winter break vacation announcement.

However, winter holidays can also be a source of uncertainty and disarray, particularly when they are declared at the very last movement without a second to spare or changed because of unexpected conditions.
