SAARC Quota Scholarship For Pakistani Students Announced by Bangladesh

The government of Bangladesh has set aside 23 seats in the country’s official medical and dental colleges for SAARC quota scholarship for Pakistani students.

Admission will be granted to chosen Pakistani students, as will subsidies for the completion of the degree program. Pakistani students will pay the same amount as Bangladeshi students. The official announcement from Bangladesh’s Ministry of Health is as follows.

Please be advised that the Bangladesh Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s Directorate General of Medical Education has announced the admission of international students to Government Medical and Dental Colleges for the academic year 2024,025.

Under the Bangladesh Government’s scholarship program, a total of 221 places are earmarked for international students this year, with 117 seats reserved for SAARC nations and 99 seats reserved for non-SAARC countries.

In addition to admission to government medical and dental schools, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare would evaluate international students’ applications for admission to private medical and dental schools in Bangladesh.

A list of government and private medical dental colleges, as well as the number of seats available, may be found on the website www.dame.eov.hd.

The maximum number of international students admitted to private medical/dental colleges is 4596 out of the total number of seats available.

Criteria and Procedure of application for foreign students are enclosed at www.dgme.gov.bd

Interested applicants have to submit an online application solely at www.dgme.gov.be No paper copy of the application would be needed to send to Bangladesh foreign missions overseas.

The deadline for both government and private medical and dental colleges to submit online applications is February 29, 2024. After the deadline, no applications will be accepted.
