As per the Education department, after ending the official vacation the school timings in Punjab will change again on 31st January.
At the start of this month, the winter vacations were increased till 31st January due to extremely low temperatures and cold winds.
According to the notification, the winter timings of both private and public schools were announced to be extended in schools all over the province, until 31st January. Regular timings will restart from 1st February 2024.
According to the revised schedule of schools till 31st January, the schools were operated from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm on weekdays, and on Fridays, the timing was from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The provisional education department notified that the timing for both public and private schools had been revised in Lahore for the winter season.
As per official notification, the timing of boys’ school will be 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on regular working days; on the other hand, it will be 8:30 am to 12:15 pm on Friday without any break.
While the girls’ school timing will be 8:15 am to 2:15 pm on regular working days; on the other hand, it will be 8:15 am to 12:00 pm on Friday without any break.
According to other news and reports on social media, the educational institutions will remain closed for more than a week due to the General Elections on 8 February.
On 4 February, institutions will remain closed due to Sunday, and on 4 February, for Kashmir Day. After that, from 6 February to 10 February, there will be vacations for elections.
Moreover, there will be a holiday on 11 February due to Sunday, and will reopen on 12th February. However, these reports are not confirmed by officials.
