The interim government of Sindh announces public holiday on December 25th in honor of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

The provincial government announced on Monday that the first day of the upcoming week will be a holiday for all officers, autonomous, and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the government of Sindh, except those engaged in essential services.

However, contrary to claims in the local media, the caretaker administration has not proclaimed December 26 as a public holiday for the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas in its notice.

The federal government, as well as all other provincial governments, is anticipated to declare a public holiday in honor of Quaid-e-Azam Day.

It is worth noting that the Cabinet Division has previously proclaimed December 25 as a holiday in the list of holidays announced before the start of this year.
