On Monday, Khyber Medical University (KMU) hosted a meeting with the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Home Abid Majeed.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the preparations for the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT).
Participating were additional secretaries of HED/Health, VC Dr. Zia Ul Haq of KMU, Registrar Inam Ullah Khan Wazir of KMU, Divisional Commissioners, Rescue 1112, Police, and intelligence agency representatives.

The aim of the conference was to improve the cleanliness and transparency of the most current MDCAT exam. All departments have filed reports regarding their individual responsibilities, and arrangements have been finalized.
It is important to keep in mind that on November 26, the MDCAT exam will be administered in seven cities across the province: Dera Ismail Khan, Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, Swat, Chakdara, Kohat, and Islamia Collegiate Campus Peshawar.
Other locations include Islamia Collegiate Campus Peshawar, Hostel No. 2 Ground Peshawar University, Pakistan Forest Institute Campus Peshawar University Public School opposite Peshawar University, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, KMU-IMS Kohat, Gomal Medical College DI Khan, Ayub Medical College Abbottabad, University of Malakand Chakdara, and University of Swat Charbagh.

The students received instructions on how to appearĀ for the MDCAT exam.
- Applicants must get their admit card and roll number slip from the KMU website (cas.kmu.edu.pk) and attach a current photo to it.
- The applicants’ thumb impression and admit card must be taken before they are permitted to attend the exam center.
- A candidate will not be permitted to take the test, and no other document will be accepted, if he forgets to bring original copies of his identity card, passport, Form B, and admit card.
- Traffic plans were posted on the official website, cas.kmu.edu.pk to make things easier for the candidates.
- Each candidate will be given a Ballpoint, a clipboard, meal packets, juice biscuits, and napkins.
- Candidates may come to the testing location empty-handed and need a pocketbook.
- Items that candidates are not allowed to bring include cell phones, smart digital watches, hidden cameras, headphones, Bluetooth, pens, pencils, clipboards, erasers, sharpeners, calculators, books, notes, handbags, pouches, metal pens, credit cards, and bank ATM cards.
- A police team will be called to the examination center and a formal complaint will be made against anyone discovered possessingĀ a cell phone, other electronic devices, or any other unlawful equipment utilized during the examination.
- The recovered device will be seized, the candidate’s papers will be canceled, and he or she will be prevented from appearing in any KMU examination for two years and considered ineligible. The relevant court has the authority to sentence him or her to jail, a fine, or both.
