The University of Peshawar (UoP) is wrestling with an intense lack of assets, projecting vulnerability over the installment of its employees’ pay for August.
The authoritative body of the university has dispatched an earnest letter to the higher education division, begging the provincial government to dispense the genuinely necessary assets to mitigate its financial issues.
The letter tells an urgent prerequisite of Rs. 325 million. Outstandingly, a huge piece of Rs. 200 million is reserved for the payment of employees payment, Rs. 35 million for power costs, Rs. 100 million for pensions, and Rs. 20 million to meet various accidental expenses.

The acting Vice Chancellor of UoP underscored that refusal to broaden financial help would have grave implications. Not exclusively payment issues of employees exacerbated, however, the general working of the institution could likewise confront disturbances.
Higher Education Division, Chief Minister, and Governor were informed about the critical fiscal situation of the institute. The University administration stays confident that the arrival of the essential subsidies will fix its concerns.
