Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have officially stated that educational institutions would be closed from January 5 to 15 owing to extreme cold and fog.
The Deputy Commissioner of Bhimbhar has issued a notification indicating that schools found in violation would be closed and their registration would be canceled.
Bhimbhar DC Mirza Arshad Jaral indicated that instructions have been despatched to the administrations of the three tehsils, emphasizing a zero-tolerance approach against neglect affecting pupils’ health.

Punjab’s School Education Department (SED) and Higher Education Department (HED) have extended the winter vacations for all public and private institutions. This occurred in response to the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) judgment to prolong the holidays.
In continuation of previous announcements, the SED and HED have declared that the winter holiday will now run until January 9, 2024. The old timetable, which had scheduled the winter holidays from December 18 to December 31, was superseded by this extension.
