Zindagi Prize is a revolutionary entrepreneurship competition that has been successfully organized at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Science and Technology.
This event was organized by Zindagi and co-hosted by GIKI and it proved to be a very revolutionary initiative in the entrepreneurial lands.
After its successful holding in Lahore and Islamabad, it has also proved to be a successful event at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering and Technology.
The event was organized at GIKI with a grand opening ceremony followed by young entrepreneurs pitching their ideas followed by workshops where Pakistan’s number one entrepreneurs shared their ideas and interviewed young entrepreneurs about new ideas.
Then there were speed dating sessions in which the experience of everyone participating shared their experience and on the last day, they held the Zindagi Academia Innovation Summit.
The last day of the event saw the Zindagi Academia Innovation Summit, which was to close the gap between academia and the corporate world, in which 85 startups shared their ideas.
After thorough scrutiny and careful evaluation, the judges declared MUSJ University of Engineering and Technology as the winner of the competition and the second runners-up were Otein from Fatima Jinnah Women’s University Rawalpindi and Aqua drone from CECOS of University Peshawar
Expressing his views, Provincial Minister for Science and Technology Shahid Khattak appreciated the hard work of the students and also appreciated their ability to solve the problems of society and thanked the JS bank and GIKI for their support.
Young entrepreneurs and their futures can be monetized and supported by these kinds of initiatives.
Shahid Khattak further said that such competitions should also be held in government institutions, which will give an opportunity to young entrepreneurs to develop their skills, and this will prove to be an important milestone for improving the economic condition of KPK.
Meena Manzoor Khan, Chief Product and Marketing Officer, Zindagi, said that the Zindagi Prize Initiative holds a special place in their hearts as it is their own brand that they have made their dreams come true.
It was created so that they can give something to Pakistani society and pay back to Pakistan and they are very happy to see young entrepreneurs in this. This is a testimony to how we mentor youth talent to become future leaders,” she said.
Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid of GIKI reiterated that we are also very supportive of the youth as exemplified by hosting the Zindagi Prize and we are grateful to the JS Bank for choosing us for the co-host.
