The Higher Education Commission has decided to release the ranking system to establish a healthy competition among the national universities of Pakistan.
HEC organized a training session to conduct this method in a unique and fair manner in which focal persons from all universities of Pakistan were invited for the training.
This ranking system has never been updated since 2015 and this ranking system has been redesigned and it is hoped that it will reveal the strengths and weaknesses of each universities and that in this way students and their parents will get help in which university they should select
HEC’s ranking system has in the past also proven to be very useful in determining which subjects or disciplines the university is best at compared to other universities, including agriculture, science, arts, design, business, engineering, technology and medicine.
Ranking Method
The ranking system consists of five aspects in which the total score is 100 and the university with the highest score is ranked first.
The five criteria of HEC consist of quality assurance, teaching quality, research output, financial and facility aspects, social community development and each cadetship further sub-components that form the overall university score ranking code.
