Pakistan People Party pioneer and previous member of Sindh Assembly Sharmila Farooqui has gotten a doctorate degree in Law.
The PPP chief finished her PhD from Jamia Karachi. She began doing MPhil in 2018 and presented her thesis in 2020. She got the PhD degree based on her thesis in 2023.
Sharmila has won the Sindh assembly elections two times.
She is Usman Farooqi’s daughter, a previous civil servant and executive of the Pakistan Steel Factories, and the maternal granddaughter of N M Uqaili, a previous finance minister of Pakistan.
