China-Pakistan Joint Research Center
The China-Pakistan Joint Research Center on Studies of the Engineering and Earth Sciences (CPJRC), China, and the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) of Engineering Sciences and Technology marked a MoU to upgrade joint efforts in earth and engineering sciences.
The arrangement was executed by Dr. CUI Peng, Chief CPJRC, and Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Rector GIKI, during an occasion held at the GIK Institute. CPJRC, which works under the China Academy of Science (CAS’s) Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, is committed to encouraging participation in studies of the earth sciences.

GIKI is a prestigious engineering university in the Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. The Rector GIKI said that the MoU gives a structure to the two institutes to take part in joint research exercises; secure research financing, and jointly conduct training programs, scholarly symposia, and worldwide conferences.
Dr. CUI Peng expressed in his views that this agreeable undertaking will have its focus on endeavors of basic regions, for example, disaster prevention and mitigation, and ecological economy with an emphasis on low carbon assimilation so that the amount of carbon in the environment can be controlled, surveying asset and climate absorbing limit with regards to regional sustainable development, as well as attempts connected with environmental change mitigation and transformation.
