Revised Winter School Timings in Islamabad
The recent wave of rain in most parts of Pakistan marks the start of the winter season in Pakistan especially in the mountainous areas of Pakistan. The trend of increasing cold in the morning time which affects students and other job holder communities in going to their schools and offices
Keeping this in view the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has revised the schedules for all schools and institutions in Islamabad’s urban and rural districts.

The decision was made in response to the recent dip in temperature caused by rain. The altered timings went into effect on October 16, according to the FDE announcement.
Revised School Timings for Single Shift SchoolsÂ
Following the FDE’s decision, single-shift institutions will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and will close at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.
Revised School Timings for Double Shift Schools
Similarly, the FDE has issued updated schedules for double-shift institutes in the federal capital. Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Friday, from 12:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Revised School Timings for Evening Shift Schools
Furthermore, the evening shift will be available Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Friday, the second shift will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Revised Colleges Timings for Postgraduate Colleges
The postgraduate colleges will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.
School schedules are anticipated to be amended in other regions of the country, and temperatures are predicted to dip much more.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts rain, thunderstorms, and snow over mountains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, the Potohar area, and northeast Punjab.
Upper KPK will have partly overcast skies, while Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Swabi, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kurram, and Kohat will get heavy rain.
