For nurses, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) will begin offering a ventilator training certificate course.
In December, the first group of students for the three-month certificate program will be admitted.
Under the direction of Vice-Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) in Lahore introduced significant improvements in healthcare training and education during its 195th meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) on Thursday.
A noteworthy decision is the addition of a certificate program in ventilator training designed to meet the needs of nurses. The first group of students will be welcomed into the three-month course in December.

By giving them training and providing them with skills and required information for mechanical ventilation and respiratory nursing care, this program looks to improve the capability of nurses who are working in critical care units to give patients critical care which they require.
Additionally, by adding English and Arabic language classes to the B.Sc. Nursing curriculum, the ASRB hopes to improve the language skills of nursing students.
The current academic session will mark the integration of these language courses into the curriculum.
It is anticipated that this change will extend nursing students’ perspectives and enable them to interact with and care for a wider range of patients
To further encourage scholastic achievement, the ASRB also approved the doctoral studies of Dr. Kokab Jabeen and Dr. Samreen Sarwar in microbiology.
