Due to claims of harassment, a senior lecturer at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Karachi was fired.
Details reveal that Dr. M. Mohsin Butt lost his employment due to allegations of bullying his coworkers.
He has been charged with defaming other faculty members and the IBA management by using derogatory, threatening, and abusive words.
The senior professor allegedly received repeated warnings and instructions to follow the IBA’s code of conduct.

Irfan Qamar, the director of human resources, said that taking such severe measures against a senior faculty member will support the university’s principles and guidelines.
Dr. Butt, a marketing professor at the School of Business Studies, has, however, denied the accusations made against him.
He said that he was sacked before having the opportunity to address the investigation committee with his position. He said on social media: “Today I received a termination letter from IBA Karachi because the authority, who is capable yet incredibly inept, decided to do so without providing any reason.
I shall speak out against this ignominious and unlawful decision on all forums with Allah’s assistance and your support.
He added that the administration of the university had already sent him a show-cause notice. Butt revealed that he had also communicated with the chief minister but had not heard back.
He also requested retired Justice Maqbool Baqar, the IBA’s patron and interim chief minister, to appoint an impartial investigation committee to look into the organization’s functioning in a video message that was shared on social media.
He asserted that he has previously spoken up against injustices, abuses, and harassment of others. He was expelled in spite of requesting action in this direction in a letter to the CM.
