Professor Dr. Naveed Akhtar, vice chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, chaired the 84th syndicate meeting at the Abbasia Campus.
During the meeting, the Additional Secretary of the Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab South Punjab, Director of Finance, Higher Education Commission, Samina Durrani, and former Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, were present.

Tariq Mehmood Awan is the Divisional Director of Local Fund Audit at Bahawal Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur.
He is the Head of the Plastic Surgery Department. Dr. Mughese Amin, dean of the engineering faculty at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur; Prof. Muhammad Amjad, dean of the faculty of chemical and biological sciences at the same university; Prof. Shazia Anjum, director of the institute of chemistry at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur; and Prof. Abdul Rauf, director of the institute of chemistry at the same university.
During the meeting, a number of administrative, budgetary, and instructional issues were considered and significant choices were made. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar thanked each participant at the conclusion of the conference.
