FEDERAL INSTITUTES ALLOWS STUDENT UNIONS

A measure to restore student unions at federal educational institutions has been adopted by the Senate Committee on Education.

The approval came during a meeting of the education committee, which was presided over by Ifran Siddiqui. The education secretary and minister did not attend the meeting, which irritated the committee’s chairman.

Irfan Siddiqui strictly ordered both officials to attend future meetings, emphasizing the critical importance of their involvement in decisions concerning the restoration of student organizations.

Besides, he likewise advised the participants about the meeting and the vital role of student unions in the political preparation of students in the past.

Discussing the significance of the bill, Representative Bahramand Khan Tangi said that it is pointed toward safeguarding and keeping students from being coerced.

Representative Siddiqui expressed that the prohibition on student unions has prompted the formation of locally based associations in educational foundations, presenting, and creating possible risks.
