Following the permission of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, the Supreme Court announces winter vacations for the apex.
According to the announcement, the country’s highest court will go on winter vacation beginning December 18 and will resume on January 1, 2024.
The Supreme Court, on the other hand, has said that its offices would stay open, save on public holidays and that urgent cases, date-by-court cases, criminal cases, and any other case as instructed by the committee will be scheduled before available benches.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has also declared that it will be closed from December 24 to January 8, 2024, for the winter vacations. During this time, the court will consider cases including bail applications, stay orders, and habeas corpus petitions.
The provincial caretaker government declared winter breaks for the province’s educational institutions beginning December 18 and lasting until January 1, 2024.
