Punjab University and Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada sign MoU

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Wednesday between the Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) in Canada and the University of Punjab (PU) to foster global collaboration in research and teaching.

At the vice chancellor’s office here, President MUN Dr. Neil Bose and PU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Under the MUN, the PU and MUN will collaborate on projects involving joint or collaborative degree programs to give students a variety of educational options, as well as faculty and student exchange programs, publications, research materials, newsletters, and joint projects related to teaching, research, and faculty development.

Both institutions will work together in many ways to improve teachers’ and students’ educational experiences.

The focus points for collaboration will be Associate Vice President of Research and Graduate Studies at MUN Dr. Mumtaz Cheema and Professor Dr. Saleem Haider of the PU.
