Punjab Lifts Uniform Restrictions for Students in Private and Govt. Schools

During the winter, Punjab lifts uniform restrictions for students for both government and private schools.

The education department has declared in a letter to the appropriate authorities that pupils should be free to wear the sweaters and jackets of their choosing without any limitations.

For January and February, a temporary relaxation has been given. Before now, schoolchildren in Punjab had to follow a particular dress code.

The decision was taken to protect the children’s government assistance, especially in the wintertime of the year, and to decrease the financial stress on guardians.

Specialists in the field of education have commended the goal, noticing that it is a positive move towards reducing extreme weather conditions and handling monetary hardships.

The Punjab government delivered the school schedule for the impending winter break recently. The notification expresses that the students of the province will have winter break from December 18, 2024, to January 1, 2024.
