Transfer and Leave Ban Imposed as Punjab Election Protocol

In response to the Election Commission of Pakistan’s announcement, the Punjab government announced a transfer and leave ban imposed as Punjab Election Protocols on Monday.

The Punjab government stated in a letter to the senior member board of Revenue (SMBR), the chairman of the Planning and Development Board, all administrative secretaries, heads of attached departments and autonomous bodies, and all divisional commissioners that the ECP had directed that “no government, autonomous/semi-autonomous organization, or any authority in the federation and provinces shall post or transfer any officer/official, until the names of the rest.

All government employees awaiting posting or transfer, including promotion cases, will stay on call. They are not permitted to leave the station until they notify their respective authorities.

If any government employee has a medical problem. He may be granted medical leave with the approval of their superiors.

During the forthcoming winter holiday, officials from the education department are not to leave their posts and must stay accessible at their respective workplaces to attend polling personnel training.
