TALEEM Programme Elevates Punjab Schools with Tablets Distribution Ceremony for Educational Advancement

On Friday, the Programme Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU) of the School Education Department (SED) Punjab organized a ceremony for the distribution of computer tablets under the auspices of the Transformation in Access Learning Equity and Education Management (TALEEM) Programme, marking a significant step forward in education in Punjab.

The event was sponsored by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). Attendees included Caretaker Provincial Education Minister Mansoor Qadir, Secretary of SED M. Ahsan Waheed, PD PMIU M. Farooq Rasheed, GPE Country Team Lead Dr. Hoa Tran Ringrose, and Senior Communications Specialist Chantal Rigaud.

During the occasion, Mansoor Qadir and GPE Country Team Lead Dr Hoa Tran Ringrose helped distribute tablets to the CEOs of District Education Authorities (DEAs).

This program seeks to deploy the most recent tablets in about 33,000 elementary schools across Punjab, assisting teachers with Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Students and instructors will be able to access a multitude of teaching and learning materials online using the tablets.

The major goal of this effort is to provide cutting-edge tablets to around 33,000 elementary schools across Punjab, hence supporting teachers’ continuous professional development (CPD).
