According to reports, the commencement of a new academic session in Sindh has been delayed due to a delay in the printing process of textbooks.
The textbook printing process has not been started yet. According to the notification, a meeting has been scheduled by the steering committee of the Sindh Education Department to talk about the printing issue. It was suggested that the new academic year will start in August as per discussion in the meeting.
Sources reported that due to the delay in the printing of textbooks, a conflict has occurred between the Education Department and the Publisher. It was also stated by the Sindh Education Department that only four months are required to print and deliver the required textbooks.
An investigation into the distribution of free textbooks from the Sindh Text Board to scrap dealers in Badin District was started by the Education Department last month.
Details reveal that the free textbooks were sold to scrap dealersĀ in Golarchi Tehsil, Badin District, even though they were meant for students in government schools.
The books were seized, after the viral video related to the selling of free textbooks from Sindh Text Board to the scrap dealers.
