On Thursday, November 16, 2023, the University of Management and Technology (UMT) hosted its 25th Convocation at its Johar Town campus in Lahore.
On this occasion, 3799 alumni received degrees in a variety of subjects. 3083 Bachelor’s, 133 Master’s, 553 MS/MPhil, and 30 PhD degrees were awarded, according to the details.
In addition, there were numerous awards presented on the occasion, including 44 Patron Gold Medals, 53 Rector Silver Medals, 09 Rector Academic Excellence Awards (Gold), 08 Certificates of Excellence, 03 Certificates of Merit, 06 Research Publication Awards for MS/MPhil students, 02 Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad Medal Awards, 01 Khurram Murad Medal Award, 01 Mubarak un Nisa Medal Award, 01 Dr Muhammad Ahmed Medal Award, 02 Greenair Medal Awards, 01 Fast Excellence Award, 01 Yasir Memorial Award, and 07 Rector Awards for Initiative and Innovation.

The National Anthem was played before the Holy Quran was recited to start the convocation.
In a poem dedicated to “Safeer e Ilm o Agahi,” the cherished Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad (Shaheed), Dr. Sarwar Hussain read.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of students and their parents, as well as Salman Murad, Rector UMT Dr. Asif Raza, Acting President UMT Lt. Gen. (R) Javed Hasan, Director General UMT Professor Abid Sherwani, Registrar Saleem Ata, Controller Examination Dr. Shahid, Director HR Irfan Bajwa, Deans, and Directors.
The distinguished Governor of Punjab, Mr. Baligh ur Rehman, and the Keynote Speaker, Mr. Usman Asif, were cordially welcomed to UMT by Rector Dr. Asif Raza for their attendance at the 25th Convocation.
Dr. Raza expressed her sincere congratulations to the parents of the graduating students as well as the committed UMT professors for their persistent dedication.
During his speech, he discussed the incredible journey of UMT, stressing the accomplishments and honoring the inspirational guidance of the late Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad. Dr. Asif Raza praised UMT’s management, professors, and leadership for their unwavering efforts, which have helped us rise to the top of the national and international private university rankings.
He revealed that UMT students receive 360-degree grooming to enable them to lead self-assured lives in both their personal and professional spheres.
He gave the graduates advice, saying, “As you begin this new chapter in your lives, I encourage you to use your knowledge and skills to foster positive change in your communities and contribute to the betterment of society.”
