The Punjab Education Department will implement special school timings in 2024 as the holy month of Ramadan approaches near to meet the religious observances during this important period.
Both public and private schools in the area typically modify their timetables during the month of Ramadan. Last year, the school timing was 7:30 am to 12 pm on days from Monday to Thursday, and for Friday, the timing was 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
Additionally, morning sessions in double-shift schools started at 7 am and 12:30 pm. On the other hand, the sessions ended at 12:15 pm and 4:30 pm respectively.
According to recent updates, Punjab’s school schedules have changed after the extreme cold wave ended. Regular sessions for boys in Lahore and other Punjab cities are scheduled from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm until April, while classes for girls are scheduled from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm.

Boys’ schools are open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Fridays, and girls’ schools are open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Although Ramadan is predicted to begin in Pakistan on March 11 or 12, the Education Department has not yet decided on the school schedule for this time.
During Ramadan, schools are often expected to open at 7:30 am, while final choices are subject to approval from the relevant authorities.
