According to a representative for the education department, the next academic year in schools across Sindh will begin on 15 April 2024, following the former timetable of winter and summer breaks.
A sub-committee meeting was convened under the supervision of Rana Hussain, the interim provincial education minister, to determine the start dates for the new academic year at schools and institutions across the province.

The decision was reached to begin the school year on April 15 and the college year on August 1.
The prior timetable of winter and summer holidays will be maintained, according to the spokeswoman.
Matriculation examinations will begin in the first week of May, followed by intermediate exams in the last week of May.
According to the spokesman, the matriculation test results will be disclosed by July 31, and the intermediate exam results will be given in the second week of August.
A 15-day teacher training program will be held over the summer holiday.
