The Vanguard Institute of Medical and Sciences in Islamabad was closed because of accusations that its paramedical staff had fake degrees.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), which has filed lawsuits against the college’s management and staff, confirmed the college’s closure due to a fake degree scandal.
Raids have intensified as part of a recent campaign to capture people behind this fraudulent organization.
According to the FIA spokesperson, the inquiry revealed a concerning pattern of cooperation between the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council and the college administration that resulted in the awarding of phony degrees.

It was shocking to see that a large number of nurses with these phony college degrees were found to be employed in hospitals throughout the region.
Unsettling information is also revealed in the report, such as the discovery of a forged Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) purportedly connected to PIMS Hospital.
Furthermore, it has come to light that the faculty list supplied by the college management was falsified, raising questions about the academic institution’s credibility.
