The Canadian government has released new travel advice for its people in Pakistan, advising them to proceed with a “high degree of caution” due to the continuing security situation.
Canada has alerted its nationals to the potential of sectarian violence, kidnapping, civil upheaval, and terrorism in its most recent advice.

In addition, Canadian nationals have been cautioned against making unnecessary trips to Karachi due to the city’s violent past and possible terrorist threat. Canada advised its people to “avoid areas where demonstrations and large gatherings are taking place if you are in Pakistan.”
It is significant to note that since the TTP, an outlawed organization, broke up its truce with the government in November of last year, there has been a rise in terrorist strikes in Pakistan.
