To improve educational standards in Pakistan and install new methods of teaching, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has announced the KP Textbook reforms in the textbooks of school children.
The Elementary and Secondary Education Department of KPK has recently announced that the free books will be distributed to the students of class nursery to three enrolled in government schools.
Moreover, for the class 4 and 5 students, 80% of textbooks will be given free of cost while the remaining 20% will be sourced from the existing materials.
While the students of classes 6th to 12th will be provided with 50% of the textbooks free of charge, others will be derived from the existing resources. And for facilitating the remaining students, old books from the students will be collected and distributed.
Starting with the academic years 2025 and 2026, the public authority has guaranteed a decrease in textbook size trying to smooth out the educational process. Urgently, the ongoing schedule will stay unaffected by this change, ensuring consistency in the curriculum standards.

To ensure sustainable and successful education, the government is embracing the digital era and expects to change educators and school staff to soft copies of books. The modernization drive is by overall patterns in digital learning assets.
All these steps are taken by the government to ensure a high quality of education and make the students able to utilize technology and work according to advanced techniques.
It will lead to providing an advanced learning environment to the students and help them to enhance their capabilities.
