The World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) recognition team recently visited Pakistan to complete evaluations and assessments of Pakistani medical education programs to give PMDC WFME recognition.
Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj, President of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC), stated that WFME accreditation of the PM&DC and its Accreditation Programme will allow all graduates of colleges recognized by the PM&DC to train and work in the United States and abroad without limitation.

He emphasized that the WFME’s ultimate judgment will be informed in due time under their process. Without a doubt, PM&DC has worked hard in recent months to gain accreditation. Any decision will be made public as soon as it is notified.
He went on to say that the WFME is a well-known international organization devoted to improving the quality of medical education worldwide.
“Ultimately, our priority should be to provide proper and good patient care.” By ensuring that our medical experts are well-trained and have the abilities to provide high-quality healthcare to our patients.”
He also stated that to achieve its objectives, PM&DC aims to maintain long-term connections with worldwide organizations such as the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). WFME certification is vital because it assures that recognized medical colleges adhere to the ‘highest standards of education and training’ in medicine.
