A one-day awareness workshop titled “Smart Climate Change and Women in Agriculture” was successfully held for university students on Sunday by the Directorate of Student Counseling, Placement, and Human Resource Development at the University of Agriculture Peshawar.
Weather Vale and Informed Farmers Islamabad collaborated with the workshop.
The effort gained prominence when Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Jahan Bakht, who graced the occasion as the primary guest, attended the ceremony.
During the session, Students had the chance to learn important information about
- women’s roles in agriculture, and
- The urgent concerns of climate change
A range of professionals and presenters imparted their insights and life stories, illuminating the importance of climate-resilient tactics, sustainable farming methods, and the pivotal role that women play in these pursuits.
This educational program addressed the significant issues brought about by climate change in the area while also empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders.
