The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has announced a whopping Rs4.56 per unit increase in electricity rates.
This will be another bad news for the poor and inflation hit people in Pakistan. With the increase in fuel prices last week this news will serve as a salt in the wounds for the poor communities of the nation.

The current change in electricity rates will inflict an extra burden of Rs39.80 billion on customers, who are already battling record-high gas prices.
