The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has stated that persons with permanent residency in the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States (US) can conduct Umrah without a visa.
According to the ministry, the effort aims to streamline the Umrah pilgrimage process, ensure high-quality services, and improve pilgrims’ cultural and religious experiences, all in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
According to the government, eligible Umrah performers may now schedule their pilgrimages via the Nusk app. Furthermore, they can undertake Umrah upon arrival.

Furthermore, the Kingdom has implemented visa-on-arrival alternatives for citizens of certain locations, whether they are traveling for Umrah or visiting for tourism. This comprehensive approach also applies to first-degree relatives of visa holders.
Individuals can also undertake Umrah with a transit visa, especially if they are going on a Saudi airline. Umrah, sometimes known as the “lesser pilgrimage” as compared to Hajj, the “greater pilgrimage,” is extremely important in Islamic religion.
Unlike Hajj, which has set dates based on the Islamic lunar calendar, Umrah can be undertaken at any time of year.
